EDM All Day's 5 Under 15K: Vol. 29 – EDM All Day

5 Under 15k is a feature on EDM All Day dedicated to spotlighting talented up-and-coming and largely undiscovered artists who we believe deserve more exposure. Each edition highlights five artists from a wide variety of genres with under 15,000 followers on SoundCloud or Spotify (at the time of writing).

Dimibo

Cooking up primordial soundscapes and hypnotic beats, Dimibo have picked up an exceedingly rampant presence in the past year. The psytrance duo first broke onto the scene with their debut track “Shangri La” before proceeding to team up with Seven Lions on a massive remix of Excision‘s “The Paradox.” Since then, Dimibo have evolved their sound to encompass the complexities of psytrance in all its idiosyncrasies. Embarking on collaborations with Jason Ross and receiving support from industry giants like Armin van Buuren, the duo also spawned psytrance side project Abraxis in joint efforts with Seven Lions earlier this year.

Enamour

Enamour’s rapid ascent in the progressive and deep house world has hit the scene from a multitude of angles so numerous one might find difficulty keeping track. Fusing forward-thinking club grooves with an eclectic display of techno and house curation, the rising artist’s dexterous balancing of dark tonalities and inspiriting atmospheres is welcomed as one of the most exciting developments to watch of late. The D.C.-based producer’s releases have been picked up by the likes of mau5trap, Glasglow Underground, Anjunadeep, and This Never Happened—echoing both industry approval and his chromatic production style. The newcomer has also showcased his mixing to no relent with guest appearances on Mark Knight‘s Toolroom, The Anjunadeep Edition, and more and his own Enamoured series.

Pastel

Painting sonic landscapes as dreamy as his moniker, Pastel comes from the intersection of electronic grooves and lush R&B tastes that’s found its niche in the humble home of SoundCloud. Armed with a guitar and a keen sensibility for jazzy rhythms, the London-based songwriter and producer molds lofi-esque beats and improvised guitar riffs into ripe ambiances. Funk-leaning, yet laidback, Pastel has received support from French label Kitsuné Musique.

Raito

As each generational wave of electronic music passes, the need to differentiate one’s artistry among the growing saturation of genres and styles continues to snowball to an insurmountable level. In Raito’s case, his avant-garde interpretation of techno exists as an innate distinction itself—rebirthing classic ’90s club tracks through a coalition of old-skool rave with its modern counterparts. Backed by heavyweight Boys Noize, Raito has seen collaborations across the spectrum with prolific peers from i_o, REZZ, Spencer Brown, and more. Injecting his hard-hitting techno sound into Virtual Self‘s “Ghost Voices,” the rising French producer is supporting the latter on tour and expanding his dark warehouse brand.

Midnight Pool Party

For Australian electronic duo Midnight Pool Party, funk rules all. Channeling infectious disco-funk, the Sydney-based act craft smooth productions inspired by groovy styles of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s that serve a widely influenced dose of nostalgic dance music. Bursting with dance fever, Midnight Pool Party specialize in concocting contagious bass lines, rhythmic beats, and sensational energy. Their latest Motions EP has received remix treatments from Dugong Jr, Anoraak, Charlie Crown, and more.
