Exclusive: Oliver Heldens dishes bouncy house hits in Heldeep Radio ahead of Djakarta Warehouse Project performance
Oliver Heldens led the perky, future-house sound to triumph in 2013, where his signature style brought his first single, “Gecko,” to top charts across the world. Six years later, the 24-year-old now beholds a world of accomplishments including performing on some of the largest festival stages like EDC and Tomorrowland, heads his very own record label, Heldeep Records, and radio station, Heldeep Radio, along with maintaining his not-so-secret alias as HI-LO, allowing him to express a deeper, bassline-driven sound from his typical sonic direction.
While all equally as impressive feats, Oliver Heldens has continued to impress the nation with continuous musical prowess as he tours across the globe. Before closing out the decade, he’s slated to perform at the Djakarta Warehouse Project, one of the largest electronic music festivals in Southeast Asia. Ahead of his anticipated mainstage set, he’s released an hour-long mix, available exclusively on EDM All Day.
In his latest mix, Heldens hand selects a curation of tunes from his current musical carousel including tracks from his own seasoned discography and snippets of singles from other artist friends. In this release, he drifts through a grand majority of his own productions, from his recent ’80s sample-infused collaboration, “Turn Me On,” to high-energy dance floor shakers like “Renegade Mastah” under his HI-LO moniker.
