Exclusive: Taiki Nulight pieces pernicious half hour to preview Light Bass party aboard FriendShip – EDM All Day
Among the dizzying array of non-stop curation to be soaked up aboard Gary Richard‘s 2020 All My Friends (AMFAMFAMF) FriendShip Cruise, AC Slater‘s LIGHT BASS Night Bass party pegged for Tuesday, January 7 should be a high-seas priority for any attendee. And Night Bass’s Taiki Nulight is about to show us why.
The garage house guru has patched together a painfully on-point mini mix ahead of the affair. A Night Bass day party, LIGHT BASS is positioned just ahead of Tuesday’s sunset, when some of EDM’s favorite creatures of the night, like Malaa, AC Slater himself, Chris Lorenzo, Wax Motif, Jack Beats, Phlegmatic Dogs, Volac, Flava D, and of course Nulight, will douse the deck in frenetic sonic shadows.
Nulight’s clearly got a good handle on what’s to come. He opens the mix with Chris Lorenzo’s Jaws movie-themed “Merky Water,” moving into a maniacal menagerie of Night Bass native offerings, from Shift K3Y, Low Steppa, and a sundry of other collaborations of his, like the long-awaited “Skank & Flex” with the one and only Wax Motif. If the mix is any indication, FriendShip is heading for dangerously danceable waters indeed.
