On Aug. 3 and 4, London’s Morden Park played host to Eastern Electrics, a festival that’s been taking place in southwest London since 2017. Unfortunately, the first day of the festival saw four men stabbed in separate incidents.

The first incident occurred around 4 p.m., when a 24-year-old was attacked and sent to the hospital with injuries. Another took place around 7 p.m. with a 27-year-old victim, and a third—identified as a man in his twenties—was found with stab wounds around 9:30 p.m. The fourth involved a man in his 40s around a half hour later, and his condition is currently unknown.

The festival has issued the following statement:

“We can confirm that four serious assaults took place at Eastern Electrics on Saturday 3rd August. All casualties were transferred to hospital after being treated on site by our medical team. The Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and asking anyone with information that may help with their investigation to call 101. The safety of everyone on-site is our first priority and we will continue to work closely with the Police, local authorities and our security staff to ensure a safe and secure environment at Eastern Electrics.”

Local police enforced Section 60 in the London borough of Merton on the second evening of the festival, which allowed them stop and search members of the public without suspicion.

Currently, no arrests have been made, and investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
