Awesome, finally recovered from Groove Cruise! hahaha
How was your Groove Cruise experience?
It was beyond epic, straight up floating festival —pure magic on the high seas!
Did it live up to your expectations?
Oh, it exceeded them! From sunrise sets to sunset, every moment was wild for us both.
What was the vibe like performing on a cruise ship compared to a traditional club or festival?
Surreal! There’s something about being surrounded by the ocean that takes the experience to another level.
Did it change the way you approached your set?
Absolutely! We went all in, riding the waves of the crowd’s energy and creating a journey.
Can you walk us through your sets—what was the energy like from the crowd, and how did you shape the journey of your performances?
The energy on the entire ship was amazing. With every drop, the crowds wanted more and we shaped our set like a rollercoaster—taking everyone on ride.
Groove Cruise is known for its tight-knit community, did you have any memorable moments connecting with fans or fellow artists during the trip?
Most definitely! It felt like one big family reunion. Huge shoutout to Jason, Skeeter, and the rest of the GC team for creating such a welcoming atmosphere. The genuine support from everyone—staff, artists, and fans—made it unforgettable.
Were there any unexpected or standout moments—on or off the decks—that really made the experience special for you?
For sure! Our sets, then from exploring the stunning island to forging new friendships from corners of the globe, it was a monumental experience filled with unforgettable memories.
With 96 hours of non-stop music, were you able to catch any other sets? Who impressed you the most?
Nicole Moudaber slayed it! Also, had a blast watching Gene Farris, Doc Brown, Scooter & Lavelle, Nicolette, Alley Kay, and so many others— all vibing high!
Playing alongside major headliners is a huge opportunity—did you get a chance to connect with any of the other artists on the lineup?
It was great connecting with everyone, especially Moudaber, she’s so down to earth always down to chat music.
Now that you’ve experienced Groove Cruise firsthand, would you do it again? And what advice would you give to an artist playing for the first time?
We wouldn’t miss it for the world! If it’s your first time, be ready for the most insane time of your life. Play a set that truly represents you; the genuine feedback from both artists and partygoers is priceless.
Finally, what’s next for Fresh Powder?
Lots of upcoming releases! And we’re super excited for Miami Music Week. We’ve got shows set so far at E11EVEN Miami, UNLEARN label party at MODE, The Clevelander, The MYCELIUM LIFE Showcase, 800-Lucky, Lot 11 Skatepark, and some fun Fresh Powder pop-ups and meet & greets. Stay tuned—it’s definitely going to be unforgettable.
