FRRC by Ricardo Villalobos and fabric celebrated a special night in Barcelona

On June 14th, we attended the FRRC by Ricardo Villalobos x 25 years of fabric event. The celebration took place at the impressive Ben Viure Castle in Barcelona, during the Off Sónar week, and it was a night that will remain etched in the memory of all attendees.

The surroundings of Ben Viure Castle provided the perfect backdrop for a night of top-notch electronic music. The majesty of the castle, combined with its history and architecture, created a magical atmosphere that perfectly complemented the music we would hear.

The event featured a well-curated line-up, with fabric regular guests and residents such as Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Zip, Craig Richards, Ben UFO, Anna Wall, and Lumiere. Each of them brought their own style and energy, making the night a diverse and fascinating musical experience.

fabric resident and founder Craig Richards brought his signature magic to the event. His set was a deep and immersive sonic journey, showing why he is such a respected figure in the electronic scene. With his ability to read the audience and select the perfect tracks, Richards took us all into a trance-like state. His presence and charisma in the booth added an extra layer of authenticity and passion to the night, reminding us why the London venue is a temple of electronic music.

Another highlight of the night was the back-to-back between Ricardo Villalobos and Raresh. The chemistry between these two DJ maestros was evident, and the way they fused their musical cultures was simply memorable bringing high expectations and public euphoria through their set.

The event began at 6 PM  and lasted till 6 AM  the next day. During those 12 hours, the combination of such a significant place, a carefully curated line-up, and a passionate audience made every moment to remember.

In short, the FRRC by Ricardo Villalobos x 25 years of fabric event at Ben Viure Castle was an epic celebration of electronic music. As a representative of Electronic Groove, it was an honor to cover such a magical night. The music, energy, and connection between attendees made this a truly special experience.
