Good Morning Mix: Gryffin and Oliver Heldens team up on Night Owl Radio mix
The latest installation of the incomparable Night Owl Radio series sees two artists in their prime come together. Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella opens the mix with more than an hour of primarily house cuts before rising superstar Gryffin takes over for a brief bit. During his time, Gryffin opens with Gessafelstein‘s timeless track “Pursuit” and closes with “San Frandisco” by Dom Dolla, EDM All Day‘s 2019 breakout artist of the year.
Oliver Heldens then takes over to close out the mix, spinning a variety of original dance tracks and remixes. Heldens begins by playing CID‘s remix of his recent collaboration with Nile Rodgers, “Summer Lover,” and later plays tribute to the music legend with his remix of Chic’s “Le Freak.”
The mix comes on the heels of Gryffin’s long-awaited debut LP, Gravity, and mid-way through both artists winter tours. Insomniac has a number of events lined up to close out 2019, including their New Year’s Eve countdown in San Bernadino, California.
