‘Gouldian Finch 3’ offers 14 different flavors on San Holo’s bitbird imprint
As a representation of the bitbird imprint, the label run by San Holo has released a compilation album Gouldian Finch 3. The project features previously unleashed singles such as “morning might turn things around” by Flaws and ILIVEHERE., “All I Know” by Taska Black and Sem, “Tell Me Why” by Duskus, and San Holo’s acoustic-electronic, “Lead Me Back,” as his only release in 2019 thus far.
Ten new tracks grace the team project, including familiar faces such as bitbird regular DROELOE on their glitchy indie-pop “Snow Shovels,” to a release from San Holo’s former alias, Casilofi, on the serene soundscape “Memories,” and a classical roller coaster from Marcioz and BeauDamian on “The Generated Freakshow.”
New faces to the Dutch record label include Knapsack on the percussive-heavy “Easy To Communicate,” newcomer YAS on her violin-laden “empty crown,” the fiery bass cruncher in Ian Munro’s “Violence,” and a debut single from RIBB[]N, “Piece Of Mind.”
