Gryffin is impassioned as ever for his second album single, 'Hurt People' with Aloe Blacc – EDM All Day
After introducing the world to his Aloe Blacc collaboration atop the cultural cathedral that is the Coachella Sahara Tent this past April, Gryffin has just officially disclosed the pair’s highly anticipated single, “Hurt People.” The duo soon rendezvoused to helped pay tribute on the anniversary of Avicii’s passing with a heartrending live rendition of the late producer’s iconic track “Wake Me Up.” The renowned vocalist in the electronic space stuck around to debut the emotionally charged new collaboration.
With lyrical support from Bastille frontman, Dan Smith, Gryffin and Aloe Blacc are primed for a cosmic blend of glossy future bass production and impassioned vocals. Gryffin flaunts his trademark guitar plucks over Blacc’s poignant message for an overall feel-good flavor that serves as a preeminent summer backdrop, despite its mournful themes. “Hurt People” marks the second offering from the latter half of the producer’s forthcoming debut LP, Gravity, which is slated for release later this summer following the Slander-assisted “All You Need to Know.”
Gryffin is scheduled to bring the entirety of his freshman album for a one-of-a-kind sold-out spectacle at the stunning Brooklyn Mirage this August with his Gravity II Live show.
