GTA officially change name to Good Times Ahead in massive revamp project with LP, new label, and new song with Diplo
The explosive dance music duo formerly known as GTA have officially changed their name to the full version of their moniker, Good Times Ahead.
Alongside the makeover arrives their announcement of a new mixtape launched through Insomniac’s HARD Recs to celebrate their upcoming extended set at HARD Summer: entitled, Good Times Bad Times at HARD Summer. The first single from the project features a friendly face in the dance space, by the name of Diplo, ever heard of him? Their buoyant brainchild, “Milky Cabrera,” serves as a hyphy intro to the new veil.
Bolstered by a hefty kick right off the bat, Diplo’s vocal fodder takes center stage for a unique interlude to the aggressive pre-chorus. The drop hits home with that Bay Area-style bounce, accompanied by high-pitched vocal contortions.
Other collaborators on the impending project will include Flosstradamus, Black Car, TwoGangs, and more. It’s set to arrive in full August 16. The duo will also be launching their label namesake Insomniac. Their extended two-hour set at HARD Summer this August will stand as a harbinger to the artistic revamp from the already-successful electronic/Latin crossover artists.
