Halogenix shares spectral debut EP, ‘Lordel,’ from newly conceived alias – EDM All Day

Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats imprint provides the platform for Lordel to land, and it’s there that the six-cut EP descends in dark, crepuscular glory. Lordel is the eponymous debut offering from Halogenix’s newly conceived side project of the same name. Known for his foundational efforts in the establishment of UK bass group, Ivy Lab, Halogenix momentarily shelves his drum ‘n’ bass sensibilities on Lordel.

Indulging the creative curiosity of his new alias, as Lordel, Halogenix forays into a spectral, experimental style of bass music. With a craftwork of inky chords, Lordel revels in shadowy sound. “Ennui” is just one example. Percussion is Lordel’s instrumental punctuation to the twilit tones and ebbing synths that span this potent introduction to Halogenix’s sonic altar ego.
