Hermitude announce album and share lively new single “Promises”
Australian electronic Hip-Hop crossover act Hermitude has shared a new single dubbed “Promises” that’ll feature on a full-length album due out May 6th.
To say Hermitude have seen some things would be an understatement with a frequent release schedule and work ethic spanning back well over a decade.
The new album ‘Mirror Mountain’ will be their fourth studio LP since their debut ‘Hyperparadise’ way back in 2013. Keen fans will know that the Flume remix of the title track from that debut helped push both acts to listeners globally.
The new single and album both take influence from the unmatched beauty of the Blue Mountains where Gus, one half of Hermitude grew up in and currently lives. The duo note the covid-downturn and bushfires also played a part in truly remembering how special the region is.
On first listen to “Promises” this really is a return to their roots with fun, bombastic sounds layered over plenty of drums and splashy hats. Easy listening done right!
They’re not the only Australian acts with new wares on the way with Flume and Hayden James both announcing albums and Perth operatives Slumberjack having just dropped their offering.
