HVOB, the electronic duo consisting of Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, has unveiled their latest single ‘What They Gave Me.’ This track, which debuted at the Burning Man Festival in September 2024, is now available through Tragen Records.
The lyrics of ‘What They Gave Me’ offer a glimpse into the themes explored in HVOB’s upcoming work, ‘THE SILVER CAGE.’ With lines like “I never really wanted what they gave me, I’m looking for a home outside of me, what you can rely on, no feeling is final,” the song delves into the tension between personal desires and societal expectations.
‘THE SILVER CAGE’ represents a bold artistic statement from HVOB, blending visual spectacle with their signature sound. This experience explores the delicate balance between comfort and freedom, individuality and belonging. The duo has meticulously crafted the lighting design to harmonize with their music.
This performance debuted at Vienna’s Konzerthaus in April 2024, quickly selling out. ARTE produced a documentary about this concert, available here for fans to explore the creative process.
Looking ahead, HVOB is set to embark on ‘THE SILVER CAGE’ world tour in fall 2025. While specific dates and venues are yet to be announced, the tour promises to combine HVOB’s innovative music with their new visual concept.
