Jax Jones and Tove Lo link on intoxicating electro-house single, 'Jacques'
Having mastered the art of infectious house beats, English producer Jax Jones continues to explore his collaborative penchant for songstress vocals in his newest track, “Jacques.” Engineering dance-floor hits like “Breathe” with Ina Wroldsen, “Instruction” with Demi Lovato, and “You Don’t Know Me” with RAYE, his latest single taps Swedish pop queen Tove Lo for a sultry club-steamer. “Jacques” will be featured on both Jones’ and Tove Lo’s respective album releases—Jones’ debut studio album Snacks (Supersize) due Sept. 6 and Tove Lo’s forthcoming album Sunshine Kitty due Sept. 20.
Flirtatious and seductive, “Jacques” weaves cheeky lyrics about a club fling into a minimalist production embellished by syncopated low synths and French one-liners. Designed with rhythmic ease and catchy vocals, the track combines Jax Jones’ signature house sound with Tove Lo’s party-girl persona into a delectable guilty-pleasure track.
