Jim Jones' Mom's House Destroyed by Fire on Christmas

While everyone was unwrapping gifts on Christmas, Jim Jones was counting his blessings. On Monday (Dec. 25), Jones’ mom’s house was destroyed by fire.

The Harlem rhymer went on his Instagram account to share an emotional video himself outside his mom’s house, which is now a pile charred rubble. Jones said that he's incredibly grateful that his family got out unharmed.

In the clip, Jones, who is understandably distraught, looks at the aftermath while firefighters continue to put out the fire.

"It's just crazy," he said. "Christmas was going good. Sometimes you have to count your blessings. The one blessing we have is we have our family. We can always buy new houses, we can buy everything new, but you can't buy your family new."

"They said God does everything for a reason," he added. "This is the house that I first got my moms when I got some money."

In the caption he writes, “Today I was blessed with the] greatest Christmas gift in my life thus far and that] is my family gettin out the] house safe sound n without] injuries."

We are glad that Jim Jones' family members are safe and sound. It's a heart-wrenching video to watch, but the Dipset rapper is confident that he and his family will recover from this unfortunate situation.

"The devil is always workin but so is my God. I got faith," he wrote.
