Kid Cudi gifts homeless with $10k of Popeyes ahead of 4/20
Stuffing one’s face on the designated ‘Stoner Holiday’ of April 20 is a privilege certainly not afforded to everyone. Kid Cudi did his part in spreading the love as widely as he could, however, joining with Postmates on the evening of April 19 to order $10k worth of chicken, biscuits, and mashed potatoes from Popeyes to the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission is one of the biggest homeless help centers in the region, supplying meals and supplies to hundreds throughout the year. TMZ first reported the news, though at the time Cudi’s donation had been kept on the low.
Cudi also paired with Postmates on 4/20 itself to set up a custom “Munchies Menu” for residents in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Miami, and Chicago. The menu included Cudi’s favorite food spots from each of the above cities, each of which were renamed based off inside jokes and prized memories.
