Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein deliver S U R V I V E’s 'Stranger Things 3' score [Stream]
The premiere of Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things‘ third season is one of the most anticipated TV moments of the summer, as fans eagerly await a return to Hawkins to see how Eleven, Mike, Will, and the gang have fared since we last saw them nearly two years ago. Ahead of the new season’s premiere on July 4, the show’s musical backbone, Austin-native synth gurus S U R V I V E, have turned in the show’s score—another dark, sinister, and contemporary spin on 80’s sonics.
For this year’s soundtrack effort, the group’s Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein set out to create more of a standalone project; one that could live on its own, outside of the world of Stranger Things. The final product is a 41-track effort now available on Spotify and Apple Music, with a physical release soon to follow. Dixon and Stein’s score will also stand in complement to the show’s more mainstream soundtrack, featuring classic 80’s hits, landing on July 5.
