Lance Gurisik is set to release his sophomore album ‘Proffer’ on August 23rd, 2024, via the 33 Sides label. The LP’s second single, ‘Prednisone,’ has just been unveiled, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the artist’s innovative musical landscape.
‘Proffer’ promises to be a psychedelic journey, seamlessly blending experimental electronic, jazz, and modern classical elements. The project features collaborations with an array of talented artists. These include flutist Lamorna Nightingale, drummer Nick Meredith, and a sweeping 16-piece string section.
The LP’s visual elements are not mere afterthoughts but integral components of the artistic vision. Danski Tang’s animated music video for ‘Welter’ infuses the music with a dreamlike quality, while Morgan Beringer’s experimental visuals for ‘Prednisone’ and ‘Glut’ complement the album’s surrealistic tone, creating a cohesive audio-visual experience.
These collaborations between music, animation, and digital art highlight ARIA Award-nominated Sydney composer’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
