Contrary to the mantra of his record label, This Never Happened, Lane 8 has memorialized a creative cabin retreat on his new single, “Bear Hug.”
The new progressive house single from the California producer earned its namesake from a towering painting of a bear with stretched out arms that watched over as the song was produced. Lane 8 ventured into the mountains on a “vision quest” before the release of Brightest Lights LP.
Although Lane 8’s Spring 2020 mixtape dropped less than a month ago, the producer tweeted out that his recent livestream sets will be crafted together to form “the foundation of a special mixtape.” Fans of the hypotonic mixtapes should be on the lookout for his new creation next week.
