Linda Marigliano spills her most nuts DJ moment
If you’re a morning person, then you’d be familiar with hearing her voice on Triple J. If you’re a night person, you might have seen her dropping some house and techno in the club or on TV show, The Set. This Friday we’re blessed with a DJ set from Linda Marigliano at the Marly Bars infamously fun and sweaty, Tokyo Sing Song (Free party).
In the lead up to her set, we had a quick yarn to her about the lesser known DJ side of her career to find out about things like the time she got spoon fed coffee ?
What got you into DJing?
A deep dark obsession with music and the stories you create by curating it. I also love parties but don’t always know how to mingle so being a DJ allows you to be simultaneously social and anti-social.
Highlight of your career playing club shows/parties so far?
Doing an impromptu three hour set in Warsaw and someone spooning ground coffee into my mouth.
Do you know much about Tokyo Sing Song? Any memories/experiences?
I don’t remember doing this but I have a photo of myself on top of the couches with silver tinsel across my face and it looks like I’m screaming.
Whats coming up for you this year?
Oh boy, there’s some stuff I can’t talk about just yet! I’m dropping some major bombshells in the second half of the year.
You can RSVP to our party this weekend that will also include the likes of Pelvis and more, thanks to The Marly and 42 Below.
