Manila Killa teams up with tour support ilo ilo and pluko for subtle new single, 'on the way'

Manila Killa is back with what will likely be the producer’s final single of the year. The track is titled “on the way,” and it is a collaboration with ilo ilo and pluko.

The track features smooth vocals that instill a sense of calm from the outset, and a delicate production backdrop with dancing synths envelope the vocals, allowing listeners to crawl into a sonic world of a subtle smooth melody.

Manila Killa speaks about the single in an official release, stating, “We write a lot of songs about heartbreak. This isn’t one of those songs. We wanted to find a cool way to bridge our three sonic worlds.” He also notes that the single came together very quickly once the trio decided to sit down and write the track.

“On the way” was born out of the three artists playing select dates together on Manila Killa’s 2019 spring and fall tours, and during their travels they had a chance to sit down and write the single.
