Martin Garrix injured on stage during Vegas residency, left in ambulance
A stage jump took a wrong turn for Martin Garrix early Sunday morning, May 26, when the artist ended up injuring his ankle to the point of needing medical attention during his set at Omnia Las Vegas. He’d thought the injury wasn’t so bad at first, opting to hobble around throughout the rest of his performance, but eventually the pain and swelling grew bad enough for him to cut his show early. A video from his social media shows him leaving the club in an ambulance to take care of the injury. Word remains as to the exact severity, but it looks like he might have broken a bone.
Garrix currently has a residency at Omnia, among a few other festival performances throughout the summer season. He’s since updated fans saying he’s fine, so it appears gig cancellation has been avoided. In the meantime, fans can listen to his new single with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump and Macklemore.
