Matroda flips LMFAO on bass house heater 'Walk In The Spot'

In the quickly rising bass house sphere, Matroda is emerging as one of the must-follow artists on the darker side of the genre. His productions utilize unique wonky sounds without ever sacrificing the vicious bite that makes his tracks so impactful. His 2019 album, The RED Tape, proved he could sustain that energy across an extended release, and his latest release shows he has no plans of stopping any time soon.

“Walk In The Spot” is centered on a vocal cut from LMFAO‘s 2011 sensation “Sexy And I Know It.” However, the playful nature of the sample is stripped away as Matroda builds a bass house hellscape around it. The track’s drop features elements reminiscent of Walker & Royce‘s absurd production complimented by hard Habstrakt-esque synth hits. All in all, Matroda’s last contribution to 2019 proves he’s poised for a massive 2020.
