MGMT embark on a psychedelic journey with 'As You Move Through The World' [Stream]

With the practice of social distancing keeping us six feet apart, the best way to get through it is with a little…”Electric Feel.” In lieu of their recently canceled shows, indie electronic pioneers MGMT have released a new downtempo-ambient single, “As You Move Through The World” early.

The seven-and-a-half-minute instrumental is a psychedelic trip of mesmerizing chords accompanied by a parade of hypnotic breakbeats. “As You Move Through The World” is the band’s second release on their independent imprint MGMT Records. Released through the label in December 2019, “In the Afternoon” was the initial offering in the duo’s “d.i.y. affair” — which includes a self-produced and directed music video.

Fans of “As You Move Through The World” can purchase it on MGMT’s Bandcamp, where a 12″ vinyl featuring both tracks. A limited-edition tee shirt will be released in the future, as well.
