Mija and Kill The Noise- Salvation
Mija and Kill the Noise have released their long-anticipated collaboration “Salvation,” and the track takes the listener on a dark and twisted journey that can hardly be confined to a genre. The release is stylistically distinct from what fans have come to expect from both Mija and Kill The Noise, but the track is just as captivating as both of the producer’s previous bodies of work.
Mija lends her haunting vocals to the track, and her singing is layered over the top of booming synths that help create a multi dimensional bass backdrop that takes over listeners’ conciousness. The arrangement is overtly cinematic, with inspiring crescendos and prominent drops taking the listener on a sonic ride.
Mija revealed that the track was originally concepted amidst a group of releases Kill The Noise was creating for a movie soundtrack. She comments,
“Jake (KTN) hit me up one day asking if I wanted to track some vocals over a song he was working on for movie soundtrack,” Mija explained. “I’d never done anything like that before, so it felt like an exciting new challenge. I wrote/sang the verse, added some vocal effects, and sent it back to him. We ended up loving it so much that we felt it needed a proper release.”
“Salvation” is out now Proximity and Sony Masterworks.
