Miller & Beatport launch global DJ contest, live shows, and docu-series

The competition provides opportunities for aspiring producers to showcase their talents.

Miller and Beatport are launching a global initiative, Miller Mix, to celebrate and bolster future electronic music talents across Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Australia, and South Africa. This competition offers support to emerging artists who often lack industry connections, a barrier for 77% of new artists according to Youth Music.

In addition to the competition, Miller Mix includes six events featuring headliners like Lilly Palmer, Gioli & Assia, and Argy, plus a docu-series showcasing local artists and culture. The initiative begins with submissions from aspiring producers, judged by a panel of headlining artists, the Beatport team, and the Miller Genuine Draft team, with community input.

Winners will receive a headliner set at their Miller Mix event and a package of benefits from Beatport worth €5,000, including educational workshops, DJ masterclasses, a DJ Studio Pro License, and premium software instruments by Arturia.

Rebecca Mutty from Miller and Ed Hill from Beatport expressed their excitement for the initiative, aiming to spotlight future stars and foster essential industry connections.

The competition begins in Turkey in late April, with other territories following. More details are available on the Miller Mix website.
