Moby has unveiled his most extensive remix project to date—a double-disc collection featuring 58 reimagined tracks from his 2023 album ‘Always Centered at Night’.
The collection’s standout single, ‘Wild Flame (Dark1 Remix)’ featuring Danaé, showcases Moby’s electronic music production style. The track blends ethereal vocals with intricate percussion and atmospheric synthesizers, creating a cosmic soundscape that sets the tone for the entire album.
The LP features several notable collaborations. Soul-jazz powerhouse Lady Blackbird lends her distinctive voice to ‘Dark Days,’ creating what critics describe as “a perfect balance of beauty and doom.” Additionally, serpentwithfeet appears on ‘On Air,’ while J.P. Bimeni’s contribution to ‘Should Sleep’ captures the spirit of 1980s New York City club culture.
Speaking about the ambitious project, Moby explains, “I felt that the collaborations on ‘Always Centered at Night’ were each so special that I wanted to create remixes to give the vocals as many sonic backgrounds as possible.”
This release coincides with Moby’s sold-out European and UK tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of his album ‘Play’.
