Monstera Black and alysalys link up for ‘Awkward Attraction’

Blending techno, hyperpop, and electronica.

Berlin’s experimental electronica scene introduces the ‘Awkward Attraction’ EP by emerging talents, Monstera Black and alysalysalys. This release is a blend of techno, hyperpop, and electronica, challenging genre conventions.

‘Awkward Attraction’ showcases Monstera Black’s innovative exploration of pop music, starting with the distinctive yet traditional track ‘system’, and concluding with the progressively deconstructed ‘who’s a hoe?’.

The EP shifts from conventional song structures to an impromptu stream of consciousness. It features improvisation and daring experimental soundscapes from alys(alys)alys. The satirical lyrics delve into existence and vulnerability, using distorted vocals and recurring hooks to create an introspective mood.
