Mylo and Claptone convene for revitalizing remake of 'Drop The Pressure'

Mylo‘s 2005 staple, “Drop The Pressure,” has earned a modern house reboot, courtesy of the cut’s original producer and underground groove authority, Claptone. The glitchy, video game arcade-esque synthwork of Mylo’s original is largely intact on the update, which gives further prominence to the beat structure that Mylo first laid on the solo release on the new re-imagining.

Claptone and Mylo collaboratively reposition “Drop The Pressure” with a looping vocal hook, inserting it at the very beginning of the funk-laced number rather than allowing synths to slowly usher it in, as on the 2005 issue. The driving house contribution combines Mylo and Claptone’s house sensibilities with synergistic sleekness, exposing a new-generation audience to the 15-year-old dance classic.
