Nathan Katz unveils his top 10 tracks from All Day I Dream
Argentina’s distinguished DJ and producer, Nathan Katz, has been on an enthralling musical journey since 2017.
He initially experimented with genres such as tech house, afro, and deep house. Over the years, Katz has fine-tuned his skills, creating a unique soundscape that beautifully combines percussive rhythms and ethereal vibes to deliver a memorable dance-floor experience.
Katz has established himself with significant releases on labels like All Day I Dream, Soniquarium, and The Purr. His dedication and talent have allowed him to share the DJ booth with well-known artists like Nick Warren, Kevin Di Serna, Emanuel Satie, Loco & Jam, Albuquerque, and Who Else.
In early 2022, Katz impacted the Organic House genre, with his track ‘Voices’ being featured on the esteemed All Day I Dream label’s Winter Sampler. This accomplishment not only propelled his music into the Beatport top 10 but also gained the support of industry titans like Izhevski, Tim Green, Lost Desert, Mass Digital, and Lee Burridge.
To celebrate his recent release, ‘Parallax’, on the ‘All Day I Dream’ label, Katz has compiled a list of his All Day I Dream label’s top 10 tracks.
1. Volen Sentir – Arrival
“This was one of the first tracks of ADID that really caught my attention. I think it was my first encounter with this kind of music. Groovy drums and hypnotic ambiences. Ethnic voices and live instruments appear slowly, the main melody adds a lot of mystery and nostalgia to complete this masterpiece. Magical tune!”
2. Sebastien Leger – Kanga
“I heard this track for the first time live during one of Sebastien’s shows back in 2019 here in Buenos Aires. Loved that set, and this track was one of the highlights for sure! I really love the funky bass and drums groove, plus the celestial melodies and ethnic vocals in the back. One of my favorites ever!”
3. Dee Montero, Newman – Shadows
“Another gem! Really love the groove and melodic sounds, also the vocals are perfect!”
4. Tim Green – We’ve Been Here Before
“This one has been on repeat for a long time for me ever since its release. I think it represents the label’s sound very well. The orchestra violins set the mood, the main melody is super nice and the female ad-libs complete the vibe.”
5. Roy Rosenfeld – Lift of Love
“One of the most memorable tracks of Roy in my opinion. Heard it for the first time in the Lee Burridge’s Cercle Set in Bali and I immediately fell in love with it. Roy is a master of storytelling in each of his tracks.”
6. Lee Burridge – Satellite Girl
“Amazing track! Love the vibe, the sounds, and the movie scene vocal detail in the breakdown; it’s just perfect!”
7. Lost Desert, Reigan, Amand – Open Form feat. Reigan
“This is already a classic for me. One of the most beautiful tracks I’ve ever heard, with the stunning Reigan vocals and the distinguished Lost Desert sound. Lovely!”
8. Fulltone, Zein Abed – Far from This World feat. Zein
“What a track! Fulltone is one of my favs of the label, and this one I think is one his greatest tracks, with the great vocals of Zein.”
9. Tim Green – Gold of Gold
“Timeless track! Tim is a genius, one of my all-time favorite producers out there.”
10. Shai T – Summer O’clock
“Beautiful track of Shai T. I fell in love with the main melody, super nice and catchy, with groovy percussive drums.”
