Okeechobee, Florida’s large four-day music and humanities competition has canceled its 2019 version. Promising to return in spring 2020, competition organizers introduced they’ll take a fallow 12 months in 2019.
“For the previous three years, we now have witnessed 100,000 strangers from all walks of life, come collectively to our dwelling of Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee, Florida, to stay, giggle, pay attention, sing, dance, study, create, meditate, downward canine, eat & drink, discover, give again, embrace and stay OMF’s mantra to Be, Here, Now. Now that’s love.”
The competition’s web site and social media posts give no purpose for this pause in manufacturing, however word that March 2020 will carry the competition’s subsequent installment. Okeechobee hosted acts equivalent to Bassnectar, Arcade Fire, Halsey and Travis Scott in 2018, and beforehand boasted lineups with artists like Flume, Porter Robinson, Pretty Lights, and plenty of extra in years prior.
“As we pause for a second and look again, we’re extremely humbled by the love and spirit you may have proven us each 12 months at OMF,” the November 29 announcement reads. “This tight knit group of followers, attendees, musicians, artists and employees that we’ve constructed collectively really belongs to everybody. We are blissful and grateful to contemplate every of you our household.”
