Oliver Tree retiring? Indie-rapper announces final tour this fall
There’s a long history of the greats retiring at the top of their games, only to return sometime later because they clearly have much more to offer their respective crafts; see Michael Jordan, JAY-Z, Michael Phelps. And while some might argue that Oliver Tree doesn’t yet belong among these legendary ranks, that’s a discussion for another time. But for now, it appears the JNCO-clad vocalist is calling it quits, having announced his final tour this fall.
The indie-rapper announced his Goodbye, Farewell Tour running from September into November, spanning a total of 28 dates, including stops Denver, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and Phoenix. The tour announcement came with a message from the “Movement” artist noting that this would be his final tour. Though, Oliver Tree crafted an impressive breakout moment and something about his come up trajectory and his unique, brazen style suggest he won’t disappear for long. Either that, or Tree has something much bigger up his parachute pant leg.
Dear fans, it pains me to say this but this will be my last and final tour. If you ever wanted to see me, now’s your chance. Tickets on sale next week. Thanks for everything. Goodbye, farewell from your old pal Oliver Tree.
