Marsian are back to melt minds once more with their forward-thinking techno from space. Comprised of stalwarts Marc Houle and Sian, the project allows both artists to fuse their creative powers into one and explore the darker, more avant-garde side of their artistry. Not to mention, their modus operandi for gigs is to perform live, which adds an even rawer dimension to their new work.
August 6 brings us the their third EP Chromatic, which makes for yet another gripping addition to their repertoire. DA has the pleasure of debuting “Convergence,” which is a veritable stomper of a track whose eerily pitched synth progressions and piercing plucks on every beat catalyze a sense of alarm. The soundscape bears apocalyptic imagery that makes one feel like they’re fleeing a terrifying invisible force while listening — perhaps it’s the bass.
“Covergence,” and the whole of Chromatic have been signed onto their usual home of Octopus Recordings. Order a copy here.
