Premiere: Ryan Browne concocts rock-dubstep hybrid with 'Show Your Face'

More and more in today’s electronic music scene, genre lines are blurred. Artists have brought elements from just about every other kind of music into the EDM sphere, and fans seem to be increasingly embracing it.

One such artist is Ryan Browne, a producer, drummer and former Icon Collective instructor. Browne’s music in all its formats tends to lean to the heavier side, exhibited in songs like his remixes of Linkin Park‘s “Bleed It Out” and Alison Wonderland‘s “Messiah.”

He brings his fusion of rock and dubstep to his newest piece of work, “Show Your Face.” Browne taps vocalist Jay Malcuit for this new original song, which is strongly emotive and heavy simultaneously.

“Show Your Face” is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made,” Browne told DA. “It showcases my close friend Jay Malcuit, and tells the story of a passionate struggle for guidance in the life of a nonbeliever, in addition to raising the age old question of ‘is there anything else out there?’”

“Show Your Face” is officially out as half of a split release. Its companion, “Blood Halo,” makes its debut on Sept. 4.
