Quack is back! Duck Sauce release first track since 2014, 'Smiley Face'

Quack quack, baby—Duck Sauce is back!

A-Trak and Armand Van Helden released a new slap, “Smiley Face,” that brings the duo’s signature disco-house back for the first time in six years. The sample tastemakers used a slice from Two Tons O’ Fun’s 1980 song “Make Someone Feel Happy Today,” as those infectious lyrics repeat atop funky disco melodies as the groovy, walking bass line drives the song with a crisp house kick and hi hats.

“Smiley Face” is the pair’s first offering since their 2014 LP, Quack, one of DA‘s favorite records of the last decade. The duo’s 2020 comeback was marked by a highly anticipated booking at this year’s edition of Coachella. The sound and visuals bring nostalgia from their throwback zaniness, picking back up exactly where they left off.
