Sam Feldt speaks on debut of new Heartfeldt Records imprint amid coronavirus crisis

Though the current spread of the coronavirus has forced festivals and nightclubs to temporarily shutter down, many artists have found themselves with an abundance of free time to work on their craft. Among that pool of artists is Sam Feldt, as he recently announced the debut of his own label, Heartfeldt Records by way of Spinnin’ Records. Set to launch on March 27, 2020, the label reveal was also accompanied with details of its debut release, a brand new Sam Feldt single titled “Hold Me Close,” with vocals from Ella Henderson set to release that same day.

In a statement regarding the Heartfeldt Records debut, Feldt speaks about his choice to move forward to the label launch during the current climate:

“In the light of the current [coronavirus] situation, I doubted postponing the long-planned launch of my own label Heartfeldt Records. In times like these, one really questions their own values and beliefs, and we are all forced into introspection. After thinking about this long and hard, I’ve decided to move ahead with the launch of the label—hoping for it to become a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration and enjoyment in these challenging times we all face.

This is not just another record label. Heartfeldt stands for everything that I believe is relevant right now: caring for one another and the planet, doing things with passion and holding your loved ones close. With this vision in mind, we are building a movement, a Heartfeldt Family. Supporting upcoming talent, while at the same time giving back to mother earth and making a difference by donating 1% of our net receipts to the Heartfeldt Foundation.”

Heartfeldt Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on developing an influencer program to generate awareness surrounding environmental sustainability.
