Now that Skrillex resumed taking part in reveals, the dance music don has been teasing an abundance of unreleased materials. One current instance was caught on New Year’s Eve at Contact Festival — an untitled edit of Skrillex’s notorious Benny Benassi “Cinema” remix — in Vancouver after first being performed at Fuji Rock in Japan. While most are used to the laborious hitting mayhem induced by his emo steel digital upbringing, the unreleased tones appear to recommend a traverse in the direction of the pop realm. With high-pitched vocal chops and and uplifting melody, the observe turns the unique from anger to pure bliss.
