Self Tape takes on Billy Fox’s ‘Blistered’ with fuzzy remix

Underlying the bright and loud dance scene in Australia is something subtle and beautiful with a splash of artists making at times moody and downtempo electronica, the later of which has been corralled by Sydney based artist Billy Fox.

His brassy voice underpins the entirety of his works with his latest release ‘LUNG’, a 7-track sophomore EP being a testament to that with his soulful pipes carefully bundled together with horns, guitar licks and flashes of electronic.

Bringing one of our favourites to the four to the floor world comes a fuzzy remix of “Blistered” from fellow Sydney-naut and this years Big Sound select Self Tape.

“‘Blistered’ was the one track that stood out to me on the record through its raw vocal performance, I kept this one super simple, stripped everything away and took a minimalist approach focussed around Billy’s pure vocal.”
