SIPPY Drops Wonky Single “Sip On This”

In just a few years, SIPPY has risen as one of Australia’s leading bass authorities. SIPPY is a Sydney born bass music powerhouse, anyone who’s spent time on the Australian bass music circuit knows the name. A notable alumni of Los Angeles’ ICON Collective, SIPPY prides herself on bringing much needed courage and integrity to the scene.

She’s taken her wompy tunes around the globe opening for names like Excision, Zeds Dead, Adventure Club, and Ray Volpe, and playing festivals and venues including Lost Lands, ILLfest, Bass Canyon, HARD Summer, Wakaan Festival, Red Rocks, and Tacoma Dome. She’s been supported by the likes of ILLENIUM, Alison Wonderland, GRiZ, and Marshmello, in which their collaboration earned her a place on his Grammy-nominated album. This year, she set forth on her co-headline tour with bass duo Smoakland heading to multiple venues including Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA and The North Warehouse in Portland, OR. She’s gone viral in the digital space with her stage presence opening for Excision’s Nexus Tour at Denver Coliseum, and, when she orchestrated a major April Fool’s prank on Monstercat by releasing “The Banana Song.” The prank featured a live stream of a banana called “Banandan” undergoing scientific tests for three weeks.

“Honestly, this track is purely for everyone to bump, grind, and bounce around on the dance floor and have some fun with it! I play a couple of songs in my set around 95-100 BPM, I love that groovy, bouncy vibe – so I was looking to create my own track in that range and this is what came of it.”SIPPY

SIPPY thrives on creating a groovy, bouncy atmosphere with tracks played around 95-100 BPM in her sets. This tempo inspired her to create “Sip On This,” resulting in a heavy crowd sensation. Having already played the record in her sets for some time, SIPPY went on to add a personal touch by recording the pre-drop vocals herself. She describes the process as straightforward and reflective of her current artistic direction. “Sip On This” is out now on all mayor streaming platforms.
