Skream, one of the pioneers of dubstep, has announced the release of his new album, “Skreamizm Vol. 8,” the eighth and latest installment of his acclaimed mix series. The album, which will be out on June 23 via Crosstown Rebels, features 12 tracks of Skream’s signature sound, blending elements of techno, house, disco, and bass music.
“Skreamizm Vol. 8” is the first album in the series since “Skreamizm Vol. 7,” which was released in 2011. Since then, Skream has been busy exploring different genres and styles, collaborating with artists like Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, and Dennis Ferrer, and launching his own label, Of Unsound Mind. He has also been hosting his popular radio show on Rinse FM and playing at some of the biggest festivals and clubs around the world.
The new album showcases Skream’s versatility and creativity as a producer and DJ, as he delivers a diverse and dynamic selection of tracks that range from dark and driving techno to funky and groovy house. Some of the highlights include “Trees,” a hypnotic and atmospheric tune with a haunting vocal sample; “DUNNN,” a hard-hitting and energetic banger with a distorted bassline; “Song For Olivia,” a melodic and uplifting tribute to his daughter; and “Ectogazm,” a catchy and funky disco-inspired track that was previously released as a single.
“Skreamizm Vol. 8” is a must-have for fans of Skream and electronic music in general, as it showcases his evolution and innovation as an artist. The album is available for pre-order now on Crosstown Rebels’ website and will be released on digital and vinyl formats.
