Skrillex and Boys Noize announce winner of fan-powered Dog Blood collectibles contest
Last month, Skrillex and Boys Noize launched the “Dog Blood Collectible Figure Contest” in collaboration with Fan Forge, an open gallery for artists to submit their art, and Japanese goods manufacturer and Nendoroid creators Good Smile Company. Submission guidelines were simple: “Design something original, creative and inspired by the two members of Dog Blood.” The selected winner not only gets their design made into a 3D toy, but also receives commission on each sale.
Submissions for the contest closed on June 16. On Tuesday July 2, Skrillex took to social media to announce his and Boys Noize’s hand-picked winner and congratulate the lucky artist. The winner Elena Fortune submitted three variations of her design “big eye vinyl friends” in basic, colorful and psychedelic versions. ForFans ByFans and Good Smile Company will provide updates on when the finished vinyl figure will be available for purchase.
