Skrillex reunites with From First to Last at BUKU Late x Emo Nite LA [Watch]
Emo fans rejoice; the Sonny Moore officially reunited with his former band From First to Last for a nostalgic performance at the first night of BUKU Music + Arts Festival. BUKU has been a loaded event for Skrillex, who not only donned his screamo hat for Emo Nite, but also reunited with Boys Noize for a headlining Dog Blood set. Both performances found Moore reuniting with his alternate outfits for the first time since 2017.
After playing a DJ set at the main BUKU event, From First to Last closed out the two-day festival’s after-party series BUKU Late presented with Emo Nite LA. With a lineup consisting of drummer Derek Bloom, lead guitarist Matt Good, rhythm guitarist Travis Richter, and lead vocalist Sonny Moore, the band gave a much-anticipated performance to a sold-out crowd.
Former vocalist and frontman Moore left From First to Last in February 2007 to work on what would eventually dominate the electronic scene —Skrillex— and rejoined the band in January 2017. They released “Make War” and shortly after, played their first live performance in ten years with Moore back in the band at Emo Nite LA. From First to Last is currently working on their sixth studio album. Catch a snippet of their performance below.
