SLANDER and Said the Sky end the wait for their impassioned collaboration 'Potions'
From the moment SLANDER had Said the Sky join them atop the stage at Insomniac’s Crush Arizona in February to premiere their then-unreleased collaboration, it has arguably remained the number one sought-after ID thus far in 2019. While it certainly did not come without good intentions, the two artists have not been able to get a mere syllable in without a bombardment of comments surrounding the release date of the trio’s melodic creation. That date has officially arrived, however, as SLANDER and Said the Sky cease all warrants for the long-awaited single with the delivery of a complete dosage of “Potions” featuring JT Roach.
SLANDER and Said the Sky are established gurus at generating tear-jerking productions and “Potions” admirably falls in harmony. The track appears with delicate acoustic strings on top of ethereal vocal layers from Roach as the artistic trio proceeds towards a graceful chill-step drop. While fans have grown accustomed to hearing the collaboration in solely live version form, the official version seems to somehow topple any expectations set in the months prior as “Potions” is an obvious frontrunner for one of the year’s strongest releases.
“Potions” is officially available now on Monstercat.
