Sound Waves Festival returns to Portugal for its 17th edition
Featuring I Hate Models, Sara Landry, Deborah de Luca, Joanna Coelho, Miss Sheila, Stëh b2b Madson Carpenter, and more.

The 17th edition of the Sound Waves Festival is set to take place on July 6th, 2024 in Esmoriz, Portugal. This event will host 16 artists, both international and national, across three stages, showcasing a variety of techno genres. Starting at 5 pm till 1:30 pm the next day, the event promises over 20 hours of non-stop music for techno enthusiasts.
This year’s roster features high-profile techno artists such as I Hate Models from France, and Sara Landry from the USA. The French producer Shlømo, frequently hailed as the “Papi” of hard techno, will also be gracing the stage.
After a seven-year break, acclaimed Naples DJ, Deborah de Luca, will be making her much-anticipated return. The festival will also welcome new faces like the British artist Azyr and the Dutch artist Dyen. In addition, Franck, an up-and-coming producer from Scotland, will be making his first appearance.
Joanna Coelho, a crowd-pleaser from the Winter and Xmas editions of Sound Waves, will be performing for the first time in Esmoriz. Other performers include Miss Sheila, a well-established figure in the national techno scene, and VENDEX, renowned for his dark rhythms. National artist Ornella will also be delivering an energetic set. Lastly, Brazilian artists Stëh and Madson Carpenter will team up for a b2b set.
