Stream Diplo's Stagecoach set

Those who missed the live premiere of Diplo‘s Stagecoach set on Sirius XM’s Diplo devoted channel, “Diplo’s Revolution,” can still get in on the cross-genre action. Diplo’s April 28 performance at the Indio Valley based country music affair is now available to all music streamers, and can satisfy the curiosity of the listeners who missed the initial stream and consequently wondered just how much Diplo’s Stagecoach showing differed from one of the producer’s traditional sets.

Contrary to what many might expect given his appearance at the country music festival, Diplo’s Stagecoach set ended up being a bit of a stretch from what one might have expected at a gathering of this genre. Diplo’s electronic roots are audible in records like Armin van Buuren‘s “Ping Pong.” While the L$D group member’s performance retains the electronic flair consistent of the sets that Diplo delivers at dance music festivals, the live effort makes several, staggered turns towards the twangy sound characteristic of country music. The icon notably uses a country cut as the precursor to Loud Luxury‘s “Body,” and later live debuts his recent collaboration with Cam, “So Long.” The Stagecoach set materializes as a tasteful balance of electronic and country that further credits Diplo’s dynamism.
