Stream Tyler, the Creator's new album, 'IGOR'
In 2017, Tyler, the Creator‘s major-label debut Flower Boy turned him from an alternative hip-hop phenomenon to a household name. With many hotly anticipating what his next album would bring, the Odd Future founder kept people entertained with tracks from the Grinch soundtrack, one-off singles, and features with Kali Uchis, A$AP Rocky, and more. Now back with his first full project in two years, Tyler, the Creator has shared his brand new album, IGOR.
Fitted with an ominously rough album cover, IGOR subverts the tidiness and approachability of Flower Boy. Tyler, the Creator maintains his rough, jazz/funk/neo-soul-influenced sound (abrasive percussion and complex synth work pervade the project) while flipping it completely on its head. With features from Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and more hidden in the liner notes, the album is full of subtle, understated collaboration, making for an LP that is quintessentially Tyler, the Creator.
