Sydney dance music club gets late night lockout free license
It’s one of Chippendale’s ground zero venues for arts, culture and electronic music. We are talking about none other than Sydney’s versatile bar Freda’s. The exciting news that emerged late last week is, they’ve had their hours extended for trade to 4am in a Sydney first for the inner west suburb.
On the news, Freda’s owner David Abrams speaking to Concrete Playground said: “We have seen Sydney’s nightlife go through a sad and painful decline over the last 6 years. However, this is an important turning point in Sydney reaching its immense potential as a late-night city,”
The venue that’s located outside of residential zoning has given Sydney one ray of light for our depleted nightlife that’s seen over 176 businesses fall to the sword. But with that all now behind us, we can confirm if you’re up for a late night boogie, Freda’s will be letting people in until 3am and closing at 4am on Fridays and Saturdays with the laws coming into play effective immediately.
