Sydney scores new ‘Someday Soon’ festival this October

There must be something in the water with the announcement of a new one-day festival launching in Sydney this October.

The good news joins the announcement of Marys Group taking over Max Watts at the Entertainment Quarter, the Oxford Arts Factory team running The Lansdowne and The World Bar reopening as Kings Cross Pavillion.

The festival is boasting a stacked lineup of course, featuring a deep selection of Australian dance, indie dance and rap but the biggie is it’s curated by Astral People.

Who are Astral People? They’ve helped shape their own cultural footprint in Sydney over the last decade having put together super fun events Outsidein and Summer Dance as well as their Vivid parties. Their touring superpowers have brought everyone from Action Bronson and Stormzy to Folamour and DJ Seinfeld to our shores. So when it comes to throwing a party, they know a thing or two.

The new one-day festival, dubbed ‘Someday Soon’ is happening thanks to the University of Sydney at their Manning House venue. This is actually where Astral People cut their teeth throwing the Outsidein festivals so they must be feeling the warm and fuzzies.

Again, the lineup is full to the brim with local talent and will mean performances from Hermitude, Lastlings, Memphis LK, Touch Sensitive and more. DJs will be very happy to see Ayebatonye, Caitlin Medcalf, Roy Blues, Tseba in the mix as well.

Head to the Facebook event to stay looped otherwise take note that tickets are around $72 for general punters and to head to this link to nab them.
