Sydney’s No-kë blends electronica and classical with serene Home EP

Modern synths interwoven with classical instrumentation lay the foundation for an exciting new EP from Sydney composer, No-kë.

Titled Home, the 2-movement project is another cut out of the Eyegaze stables, a local label that has brought forward the eclectic sounds of Pat Carroll and Jerome Blazé in the past.

Having studied at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, multi-instrumentalist No-kë (Cassie To) showcases her taste for experimentation on Home, bending genres with uniques soundscapes forged out of a love of electronic music and classical training. If you fancy the sounds of Ólafur Arnalds or Nils Frahms, then this EP will fall comfortably into your taste range.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the EP, No-kë says “Home is all about my happy place – the Farm. The idea was to recreate that sense of peace and contentment that I feel when I’m up there.”

Home comes packaged with a third, bonus track in the way of a club driven interpretation of Movement 1 from label-mate, Pat Carroll, who actually studied with No-kë at the Conservatorium of Music. A fitting conclusion to a serene project.
