The Weeknd trips through Las Vegas in new 'Heartless' music video [Watch]
The Weeknd continues his content rollout with the release of his cinematic and psychedelic new music video for “Heartless.” The video was directed by Anton Tammi, and stars The Weeknd and his producer, Metro Boomin, closing down Vegas, on a tear of gambling, drinking, smoking, and stunting around an empty casino while tripping out. During the bridge, the protagonist licks a toad and seems to have a bad trip, sprinting through the streets of Sin City. Shot with a fish lens and saturated in bright lights, the video captures the track’s hazy feel, rounding out the pop crooner’s vision for the song.
The track is The Weeknd’s first offering since March 2018’s My Dear Melancholy EP, followed by another single “Blinding Lights,” which was previously teased in a Mercedes-Benz commercial. See the visual accompaniment to “Heartless” below.
